VW credit is nothing but an inept, bureaucratic mess that couldn't care less about the customer. They create a facade of impartiality and fairness with their end of lease inspections by getting an outside company who receives all of their directions from VW credit, to do the inspections, and then soak you for trivial damages that they will never spend any time or money repairing by their own admission. If you dispute them, they can't even be bothered to look at the vehicle to decide of your claim is legitimate or not. Once you get through that obvious money grab, get ready for another $300 disposition fee for the honor of them taking their property back. The 2014 Jetta I leased was the poorest quality vehicle I've ever used. The quality of materials, fit, and finish were a joke. It is beyond me why anyone would buy a VW today, poor quality vehicles, poor quality care for the customer.

I paid off my auto loan with WV credit. They never send my title . Instead they send me 2 letters saying thanks for paying off the loan , other one said visit to DMV to get free and clean title. Are you kidding me? I called the customer service they just blamed on postal service saying they lost it. I don't think so. How come your 2 letters showed up on time? How come every month I received your statement on time for last 6 years?

People! Please stay away from vw credit. They will report you late every month so you your credit score can drop. That way you keep paying their worthless car for 5 years. Imagine you make payments on time time every month they report you late. Do not buy VOLKSWAGEN.

I purchased a brand new VW TOUREG in 2005 paid my down payment to the dealer and set it up on auto draft form my account. Everything was great and paid the loan in full thru my account. I then purchase a new VW in 2010 set up the exact same way thru my auto pay account, Everything went great, I always got a letter informing me that the payment would be withdrawn on the date we agreed upon when I purchased the car, which was fine. I get the final letter stating that the final payment would withdraw on the same date as usual. I then get a letter at my home physical address which wasn't even on file stating that my last payment was 31 days late... I contacted VW credit and was told by the lady that took my call they have changed the way the last payment is paid that they wouldn't withdraw it automatic that I had to pay it either thru the mail or by phone, however the letter stated it would pull the final payment as scheduled.. This is so poor customer service, I ask the lady how I was suppose to know the rules have changed on the last payment??? I have never to this date received anything stating the billing was changed when making the last payment of the contract, however the letter said it would report to the credit bureau.. REALLY?? If I have paid 59 payments thru auto draft, why in the world would I not make the 1 remaining payment when before this car I paid close to 50K to VW credit via auto draft until it was paid in full. I informed the lady I spoke to that just MAYBE the CUSTOMER should be notified when changes occur especially when dealing with my credit ratings. I have a 860 credit score and now it could be damaged to just plain lack of communication on VW credit. I also informed the VW credit rep that I would be monitoring my credit and if it shows a negative due to this I will be contacting my attorney and the BBB.. This is so sad that you spend over a 100K with VW and get treated in this manner, like I was suppose to be able to read their minds on paying the last payment. I didn't stop the draft, thought it was paid in full and then this comes up, wrong mailing address from the communication I received monthly versus where the last letter came telling my payment was late.. This is just a lack of no concern for the customer. I will not use VW credit in the future and I will let everyone I know to stay clear of VW credit as they will make the new rules but forget the paying customer in their communication. If you wish to contact me for further comment, Please do so!!!

I too like the many out there have has issue with VW, on two separate loans. On the first loan, I had made my May payment on time like normal for the past 52 payments, only to find out that for some reason it never took, even with the thank you confirmation. I only received a letter in the mail 5 days before the next payment due date, no call or anything before letting me, a stellar customer know, hey you forgot to pay your May bill, and I could have paid for it then before it was late. Now like the person below, has had their score drop 100 points, they do not care. When I called to asked them why they didn't call me, they stated it only a courtesy if we call you..? Really, how many others like us have been treated this way and now have 30 day lates showing up on our accounts who had 800 credit scores? For the second loan, we have autopay, which has been fine, except for the fact that the July 2016 payment, was withdrawn 4 days before the due date? Is that even legal for them to do: I really have lost my faith in VW. They don't care once you have become a VW Credit customer. A simple check of our credit would show them we are all excellent customers, and should believe that we aren't lying. It seems that would be the case with all the others like me. em I have ever seen. It boggles my mind that if you so much as CHECK ON A PAYMENT your account automatically resets itself and requires that you wait an additional 12 days before funds can be withdrawn. Now here is the real kicker. You would think if you checked on a payment that was due on the 14th, even if the funds weren't available to VW until the 26th (ie the 12 day period was up) they would withdraw the amount due right away. Instead it skips over to the next month and marks you as late payment with NO NOTICE. There are no email updates on payment being on its way. There are no updates via email (even thought I set them up) when a payment is overdue. Its insane this type of technological incompetence still exists. Everything about the first 4 months of having my Jetta has been awesome except for the fact my credit score has dropped almost 100 points. Because despite calling and settling this THREE SEPARATE TIMES every month so far there has been an issue. My advice to VW Credit: TAKE MY MONEY WHEN I WANT TO GIVE IT TO YOU and figure out how to set up a simple process for doing so because the current system is as broken as your emissions department.

The website for VW credit and process of setting up auto payment is the most archaic system I have ever seen. It boggles my mind that if you so much as CHECK ON A PAYMENT your account automatically resets itself and requires that you wait an additional 12 days before funds can be withdrawn. The dealer where I traded my VW at cut them a check on the 23rd Of February. She informed by the end of that week VW credit would definitely get there check . Unfortunately, I Never canceled my auto pay so VW withdrew and extra payment . I called VW credit on the 23rd and spoke to Eric he informed me that as soon as they receive the payoff funds they would credit my account within 72hrs. I called VW credit again on the 29th of February spoke with another rep she informed that VW never credits the account which they pulled money out of but instead only issue checks for the refund. She also informed me that they had received the payoff funds and would be sending the title on the 4th of and would also send me a check for the overpayment . Today , is the 8th of March and I still have not received the check . Therefore , I just called vw credit again , was given another version by Stacy the check will be sent out after 15 working days as incase the payoff check defaults . Are we living in the ice age how would your release the original title of the car without receiving funds into your account and lastly, does it take 15days for a check to clear ?? VW not to be trusted ...

I've had zero issues with VW Credit. I worked hard to pay off my first auto loan with them early, which wasn't an issue at all. I'm planning on getting another vehicle through them in the near future and cannot wait! I would highly recommend VW Credit. They're a great place to get a car loan.

I read so many negative reviews of VW Credit, but I honestly cannot understand why… I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with them. The customer service with excellent and I got a loan fast. I'll be recommending them and using them again when my husband needs to buy a new vehicle.

VW Credit is just a source of great frustration for me. After realizing that I was paying way more than the car was worth, I decided to return the car. They all of a sudden found all these fees to charge me. I swear, they came out of thin air! I refuse to pay fees for things that a) were their fault, and b) were no fault of mine!

I'm so happy with VW Credit that I am currently in the process of getting another auto loan with them. I paid off my previous loan a bit early, and the experience I had with them was great. Throughout those couple years I never ran into any issues with them. I'd highly recommend VW Credit.

I am in the process of financing my third Volkswagen through VW Credit. Throughout the years, they've never let me down. These are family cars, so I take my financing and purchasing very seriously. My daughter is looking to buy her first car soon, and I've recommended only VW Credit.

I didn't even get a loan through VW Credit. I didn't even get that far in the process because of the horrid customer service. My calls were never picked up or returned, neither were my emails. I guess they do not care about paying customers? Oh well. Stay away from this bad customer service situation.

It is truly a shame. I have been a VW Credit customer for years, and just recently it all went sour. I made a payment but for whatever reason it was not credited to my account until after the due date. They immediately reported this to the credit bureau. Even with my explanation, their customer service dept. just didn't care.

These guys are the worst, most disorganized loan company! They made a HUGE error when my family member got a loan through them, and actually put down the wrong social security number. No one bothered to double check or anything! Now she's working to get it corrected. Talk about an annoyance!

DO NOT put your faith in VW Credit and their online correspondence! Apparently, it means nothing. I got a “Thank You for Your Payment” online, but it ended up being false advertising. They hadn't processed my payment and it went to the collections department. What a mix up on their part, and it ruined my credit.

VW Credit is the WORST company to deal with! Because of their sheer incompetence, I became ineligible to get a home loan. I paid my bill, got a confirmation, but they are adamant that I never paid. Obviously, it went onto my credit score and shot my chances of getting a home loan. Now I have to work to rebuild my credit, BECAUSE OF THEIR MISTAKE.

This may be common practice, but I've never had interest accumulate with deferred payments with any other lender. I had to defer because of a financial issue my husband and I had, and then at the end of the loan, they charge the interest that you would have paid. I wasn't aware of this. I wish they'd told me instead of charging me out of nowhere.

I have no idea where to start when it comes to VW Credit. Their lack of communication has severely affected my view point of them. They've caused so many issues and have in turn charged me a bunch of fees. They failed to let me or my lender know about various things, and it has all gone downhill.

I guess this company doesn't appreciate good customers. I paid off my loan early, even paid the shipping fee to have my title sent to me. They promised a couple days, its been almost 2 weeks. Where is my title? Why did I pay to have it overnighted when it wasn't? Such a let down.

I had such a disappointing experience with a company that was recommended to me. VW Credit was more of a pain than a help during this time. I paid all of these fees up front, and when I terminated my lease, they sent me a plethora of other fees. I refuse to pay them and now I have collectors calling me. Oh well.

Oh my, what poor service VW Credit has! After thoroughly paying off my loan, they charged me extra interest, which wasn't too much so I just paid it. The interest is still showing on my credit score as being not paid. No one seems able to help me or reverse this incident. Horrible service.

It's not even worth it to lease with VW Credit. They are charging me all types of fees just to end my lease. I even looked for another company to work with, and, VW upped my buyout fees. They are crooks and this practice has to be unethical. I can't believe they can do this and get away with it.

By

April 25, 2014

I would highly advise everyone to steer clear of VW Credit. I made the error of getting a loan with them, and am now paying the price. They raised my buyout price to an amount that is way too high for me to pay right now. Customer service- what customer service? They do not care about you or your car. Just their money.

I used to really like VW Credit, until I traded in my vehicle. Even though I leased another one through them, they keep trying to charge me fees for turning in my other vehicle. I don't really understand, but I'm kind of stuck paying them the fees. I like Volkswagens, but this is ridiculous..

By

I don't really get VW's business practices. I brought my car back to get another car through them, but they still wanted to charge me tons of fees. I mean, I'm getting another car through your company and taking another loan. They obviously just charge what they either can or want. They just lost a customer..

This company is nothing but trouble! I traded in my car and they made the entire process such a headache. I did everything on my end, and they managed to screw it all up by making an error with one of the checks sent. They now claim I owe them money, even though it was their error. Never again will I do business with VW Credit!
