Capital one auto approve me and then in 6 days later I was un-approve. Capital one told the dealership everything was good and then I got a phone call from capital one auto telling me that they needed more information-well I got the paperwork together and took it to the dealership-the dealership told me that capital one auto told them to take the car back and I have two credit cards with capital one-I lost all faith-hope and trust in capital one as a hole. Please stop sending me pre-approve letters you can use that paper for toilet paper in your office. And when I called into the office of capital one auto the agent was rude, and very much unprofessional, disrespectful, yelling and showed that he lacked customer service training and skills-beware if you consider capital one auto. This was a Terrible-Horrible experience

I just purchased a car with Capital One financing, and was having difficulty with registration. The CR, Stacy, was excellent in navigating me through the process. After reading many negative reviews on the web, I was hesitant about this loan. Now I am feeling much better! Thanks for the great CR service!

I bought a car in 2011 with pretty poor credit. I signed for a 72 month car note to keep my payments low. I made my payments, there were a few that were a few days late but they never dinged my credit for it but I always called to let them know, and paid it off early. I have never had any issues with them during that time. I am currently looking to purchase a van and would consider using them again.

I needed a car and Capital One made it a reality. My credit score was not the greatest but they were able to work out a loan that was fair and i feel they really did do the best they could considering my credit score. i have refinanced since somewhere else but i had a good experience with Cap One.

I have my second loan with them currently and my other family members are using them as well. I would highly recommend their services because they are fair and good rates.

Capital One made is SO easy to get a new car. I couldn't drive my old one because, after all these years, it finally breathed its last breath. Getting financed through Capital One was like a god send. So easy, so affordable, and quick as can be. I don't know what I would have done without them!

After searching through various auto financing companies, Capital One seemed like the best bet. They didn't chase me aggressively like the other lenders. They seemed to just give me it straight then let me make my own decision. Best decision I have made yet!

All I can say is be sure to read the fine print. I thought I was doing a good thing by making extra payments and that it would go toward the principal. Not until I'm 3 months ahead? What?

Capital One's policies have recently changed on auto financing, and I'm not sure if I like them. Before, with the blank check program, you'd have all the power. Now I feel like I have to haggle with the dealer to make anything happen. It's a little irritating, so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be using CO for my financing.

I requested to make principle only payments with them and for whatever reason they have messed it up numerous times. When I have called customer service they tell me that sometimes their billing department makes mistakes. That is NOT what a trusting customer wants to hear… I'm not happy with my experience and will probably not use them again.

Everyone experiences hardships, so when my debt was high and my income was low but I needed a new car, Capital One worked with me. They got me a very fair financing option. I didn't think I'd get approved, but I was, and they made it such an easy process.

My husband's credit wasn't the greatest when we needed to get a second car. I recently began working after being a stay at home mom for so long, so my income history wasn't the best. We went through Capital One after being denied by another company. They got us the loan we needed at a fair rate. We are more than thankful, they were there when we needed them the most.

Like most people, I have had some good times and some hard times, and my credit reflects those points. But Capital One gave me a fair loan with great terms and I am a happy camper!

I found the actual application process to be a little irritating, but afterward, the experience has been great. They informed us that our car dealer had “thrown in” extras to our contract after we used the loan to get the car. We didn't want the extras, so Capital One put a hold on the check until a better contract was agreed on with the dealer. Awesome service!

I feel like Capital One is a little sneaky with their interest rates. I have credit cards and accounts through them, so I figured a car loan was the natural next step. They didn't inform me of the interest rate until after I actually got the car, and it was a lot higher than I would have wanted…. I will most likely refinance when I can to get a lower rate.

I've used other financing companies in the past, but this was by far the easiest and best loan I have found yet. I love their rates and their customer service can't be beat!

I've just paid off my auto loan after 5 years and have not once had an issue with Capital One. They were always available when I needed them (most recently, when I needed a copy of the title). The interest was at a reasonable rate, I think. Also, I did automatic payments from my bank account and never had an issue with that.

I am so satisfied with my entire experience with Capital One. I have credit cards through them, and the five years I've had an auto loan through them have been great. Not once did I have any issues with payments, interest rates going up, or anything along those lines. They have always been gracious whenever I needed them. Highly recommended.

Capital One made is INSANELY easy to get financing on my car. I don't have the best credit, but they got me a good rate anyway. I am so happy that they took a chance on me when not a lot of other companies would have. I highly recommend them for their great service and excellent rates!

Using Capital One for a car loan was a pretty straightforward process. You apply online and get started from there. My only complaint is that you HAVE to purchase a “newer” vehicle in order to get funding through them. I didn't necessarily want a new car (hello, more expensive) but had already gone through the process with CO.

By

This was my first time purchasing my own car without my mom as a cosigner and Capital One approved me right away. I was so happy I could have cried! They make getting a car really easy for you, especially with their recommended local dealerships. I couldn't have been more pleased and will definitely be returning to Capital One for any other cars I purchase.

Capital One's interest rates are horrible! I went the “blank check” route and after all was said and done, I had 11-12% interest on my loan. What! I would have gone elsewhere in a heartbeat to not have to pay that much interest on a car loan. That is just way too much. Now I am wiser and will go somewhere else for my next car.

By

January 22, 2015

The service here is pretty good. I had financial troubles in the past and was struggling to get approved for a car loan when Capital One helped me out. I got a reasonable interest rate considering the issues I have had in the past. I would recommend them because they obviously give people a chance, you probably would have been turned down elsewhere.

Customer Service here is extremely unhelpful! I went through some rough times and needless to say, I got trapped into a high interest rate on a car loan with Capital One. After six months of paying on time, I requested a lower interest rate, and they denied me outright. They were not the nicest people to deal with. I am extremely unhappy with the fact that I'm stuck with this high payment every month that I can barely make.

I am beyond frustrated with this company. This is the first auto loan I have through them and they have made it a nightmare. I paid every monthly payment on time, then I ended up losing my job. I started doing odd jobs and would pay once I had the money (usually a few weeks prior to the due date). That payment would not count towards the monthly bill. I called and they told me that I shouldn't pay so early and to wait until the exact due date. It doesn't make sense. I'm being penalized for paying my bill “too early” and now have to make double payments.

My husband and I have been with Capital One Auto for about 3 years now. We both got loans for our cars, and I recently requested trade in my car. They approved me with a lower interest rate than before. Now my husband is looking to do the same thing! They have been great all this time and we'd recommend them.

Even though I have high balances on all three of my Capital One credit cards, I was instantly approved for a car loan! I was even declined by another loan company before giving them a shot. They have been a good source for financial needs and I have never had any issues with them. Six years strong and still loving Capital One.

Fantastic option for those who have bad credit. I got a car loan at about 9%, which is great considering my credit score was in the dump at the time. I have since paid off that loan but still use Capital One because I like them so much as a company. I know they look out for their customers.

Even though I filed for bankruptcy less than a year ago, I needed a car. Capital One approved me for a loan right away. Even better, I got a low interest rate which made for affordable monthly payments. It was so much better going through Capital One compared to the dealerships, because they usually milk you for all you've got.

By

January 05, 2015

They make things simple, that's all I can say. When buying a car, the dealer tried to convince me to do in house financing, but that is not the route I wanted to go. I got a loan with CapitalOne with a MUCH better interest rate. I'm glad I declined the dealership financing because CO has been a pleasure to work with.

I've had the loan out for almost 3 years now and I almost have it paid off. I could not be happier with the service they have provided me this past few years and will definitely use them again in the future!

I'm pretty satisfied with Capital One's auto loan. When I applied, I had a really bad credit score and tons of back debt. Even so, I got approved. My interest rate is fairly high but with my situation, I didn't expect anything lower. I hope to refinance once my credit score is a bit better.

By

Capital One is very easy to deal with. I was laid off work and they gave me an extension on my loan until I could get another job with steady income. Also, the mailed me the title the second my loan was paid off. They do everything in a prompt manner and are nice while doing it. I'd recommend them because they are pretty reliable.

I actually applied for a car loan through Capital One and THEN looked up all the reviews. There were a bunch of negative ones, but after dealing with Capital One for a few months, they seem to have their stuff together. So far, I haven't had any problems with billing, payments, customer service.. they seem to be an okay company.

By

November 12, 2014

Luckily, I make decent money and my debt is fairly low. But, this is the first time I'm getting a car on my own without a cosigner. My credit wasn't fantastic due to me not having too many credit-reporting bills in the past, but CO approved me instantly with a APR less than 10%. Awesome!

By

November 05, 2014

For reasons that were not my fault, my credit was in the dumps. After all the financial drama, Capital One gave me a car loan when I'd already been denied by a few other companies. They gave me a second chance when I thought I was doomed. My credit is slowly improving, which has opened up more doors for me.

By

November 01, 2014

I recently damaged my credit score a little bit by making late payments on my student loans. So without much hope, I applied to Capital One for a car loan after I heard they worked with people who had lower credit scores. I'm glad I did because I was approved. My apr is eh, okay, so I plan on refinancing next year. But I'm happy with them.

By

October 24, 2014

Amazingly, Capital One approved me for a loan less than a year after I filed for bankruptcy. I didn't even think I'd get approved! I did get a really high interest rate, but obviously I expected that after filing bankruptcy less than a year before. They seem to be really nice people and gave me a helping hand.

October 22, 2014

I found them to be extremely responsive to questions that I had and a wonderful user experience when paying loans online or viewing loan details. However, their interest rates were a little bit higher than I accepted, and I refinanced my car loan with a local credit union six months later.

October 22, 2014

Capital One has a great online user experience but it is very difficult to get a hold of an actual representative if you have an escalated question or issue. They also have higher interest rates than many of their competitors.

By

October 15, 2014

Capital One is the ABSOLUTE BEST option when buying a car!! I couldn't be more satisfied with them and how they work. I was approved for a lot more than I thought with a lower interest rate than I could have imagined. It goes without saying that Capital One is the best and I will be using them again as needed.

By

October 12, 2014

After a year of paying off my Capital One auto loan, my interest rate almost doubled. I contacted customer service but they refused to honor the original agreement. I was so irritated I pulled together everything I had to pay off my loan early. I can't stand being taken advantage of by liars and thieves.
