I have had a loan with them for two years. Reps were rude the first year if I ever had to call but they have improved. I recently tried to make post dated payments online and it didn't go through or post. I checked the next day and showed 3 were pending, I immediately called a rep. They talked to a team leader and cancelled two they said. I checked again a few days later and even emailed them to please make sure. They verified yes other two were cancelled. I checked again and still showed pending. I then called a rep again. He said yes they were cancelled. Well guess what? 3 payment hit my account! I was livid!!! I don't know why they don't have it to where the customers can cancel payments online like capital one does. Absolutely infuriating! Especially after 3 reps and a team leader verified it.

Well this isnt a bad review. This past February I hydroplanned and popped a whole in my oil pan and fried the engine of my car. With this being said i had to file this under my insurance and it took Western General 6 montha to handle the claim and come up with a investigation that i told them in my original statement. With this being said I lost my job, apartment and even my pets due to the insurance company not handling claims in a timely manner. I also fell behind on my payments with Exeter Finance and my loan went to charge off/repo status. Each time I spoke with Exeter they were very apologetic and very polite about the whole situation. Just two weeks ago i get a call from Western General saying that my check was on the mail. Thank god there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I received it sent it to Exetor to endorse to get my car fixed. What i didnt realize is they were planning on reposessing the car as soon as the repairs were done. After a few phone call i found out that this was the situation. So i asked to speak to one of the managers in the impounds department( name i will not post) She was a god send! After i explained everything and admitting i fell flat on my rear living out of a shelter and this car was my only answer out of the situation. She stopped the repossession on my car and got me to the collection department to set up payment arrangments. I set them up! I go pick my car up next week and i cannot thank the managment at Exeter Finance enough for returning my life to a normal one. One that i didnt have to walk 7 miles to work in the triple digit heat. So if you get in a bind like i did ask if there is anything they can help with! Exeter has my business and will get all my referrals from this day forward! So lets see the positive to this company even though i was in the rear by 5 months they let me keep my car! Thank you Exeter!

THIEF ALERT!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I have never missed a car payment nor have I been late. They stole over $600 from me this month and have put me through the ringer in getting it back. I set up automated payments five months ago for the 15th of each month. This month, as usual the payment was not taken on the 15th. So, on the 16th I paid my bill. On the 19th they stole $618.06 out of my account after knowingly receiving my payment on the 16th. They told me to send a running bank statement from my bank and after I did so, they informed me that they could not use it to give me back my money after days passed and being informed that the money would be in my account after 24 hrs. The customer service representatives are rude and the managers can not help you and tell you that they are the only people you can talk to. I am going to get my money back one way or another. I will be going to my bank to reverse the payment and refinancing my car with a trustworthy company with better rates and decent customer service. I will not give my money to thieves!!
